Please read this and pass the information on to your coworkers. It is imperative that each and every one of us get this information. Now, more than ever before, is the time for us to stick together and help one another. Only together can we get past this and accomplish our mission - to heal ourselves.

Stress - Causes employees to suffer both mentally and physically and impairs their ability to perform at their best. Includes anxiety, PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) and depression to name a few.

Anxiety - symptoms include insomnia, inability to concentrate, tension headaches and upset stomach.

PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) - the persistent "re-experiencing" of the stressful event with flashbacks and sometimes hallucinations.Other symptoms include avoiding thoughts and feelings about the event, emotional withdrawal, insomnia, irritability and an exaggerated startle response.

Depression - symptoms include, but are not limited to, a hopeless mood and a loss of pleasure in activities that used to be enjoyable.

Physical side effects of stress include, but are not limited to, hypertension (high blood pressure), headaches, muscle tension and insomnia. Only your doctor can determine the best treatment for your situation.

The benefits of an ordered workplace include increased/high morale and productivity, a sense of belonging and a good overall atmosphere among employees and management alike.
