Mission Statement

Saturday July 05, 2008

We are the United States Postal Service employees that were assigned to the Washington DC Processing and Distribution Center also known as Brentwood do solemnly confirm the following statement of purpose to be categorically accurate and true.

By virtue of the fact that our constitutional rights have been violated, denied, abridged and altogether witheld, we find it most necessary to become united in purpose, to seek remedy, resolution and justice.

In the spirit of solidarity and steadfastness, we shall with an unwaivering faith, endeavor to bring to justice and accountability the United States Postal Service and those organizations that were accomplices in their acts of inhumanity.

We realize all too well that the USPS is as a colossal giant with global influence, but we are also aware of the fact the we possess within us a greater power than global sway. We have the truth on our side. And as Carlyle said, "No lie can live forever". And as William Cullen Bryant stated it's still true today," Truth crushed to earth will rise again".

We realize that Brentwood employees are not fighting for their rights and their rights alone, but they are fighting for the rights of every American. No man is an island...Ask not for whom the bell tolls, it tolls for thee...James Russell Lowell was so eloquent in saying:

Once to every man and nation,
Comes the moment to decide
In the strife of truth and falsehood
for the good or evil side;
Some great cause God's new Messiah
Offering each the gloom or the blight
Twixt that darkness and that light.

Though the cause of evil prosper
yet 'tis truth along is strong
Though her portion be the scaffold
And upon the throne be wrong
yet tht scaffold sways the future
And behind the dim unknown
Standeth God within the shadow
Keeping watch above his own.

Thus we embark upon our mission...
with this truth.
