It's election year again. Time to clean house for those in office that have not kept their promise to support the people and this country. Time for those who have taken sides on issues detrimental to the public good and livelihood to go. Please visit our voting section to get information on voting and voter registration issues. If you know someone that has not registered to vote and is eligible, encourage them to register as soon as possible. We need their vote (whichever way they decide). We want them to particpate in the political process. The more we become involved, the faster we can turn this country around to a nation that is truly by the people and FOR the people. If you don't vote, DON'T complain.

We need to clean up our workplaces as well. I know and realize that every post office/workplace doesn't have a poisoned work environment, but where they exist, workers must do their part to eliminate the harassment and intimidation. If you see it happening to someone else, help that person out. The next time it may be you. You can't expect things to get better doing nothing. I know that people have their families and loved ones to think about, but are you going to live your life as a prisoner to the abuse? Or will you take a stand for a decent workplace environment and have the freedom to know that you don't have to put up with the harassment? I can't make the decision for you. It is strictly up to you. For those of you that currently have a decent work environment, you are truly blessed. I hope that it stays that way indefinitely. The work environment can be so much more pleasant when everyone works together and realizes that we are in this together. Life (not money) is more important. Let's come together to have an even more positive impact on life as we know it.

Thank you. Have a good day.

Sincerely,

Joseph R. Mays
