Hello.
How are you doing today? Thank you for visiting our
website. We hope you have found our website to be useful
and informative to you. We always welcome information
and/or comments(constructive criticism) that allow us
to provide help and information to those who seek it.
Our
mission is to promote a better environment on the workroom
floor in the United States Postal Service and across
the country.
The
anthrax attacks in October 2001 left two of our coworkers
(Thomas Morris and Joseph
Curseen) dead. Official postal policy was not followed
and others became ill and numerous lives were put in
jeopardy. This was due to a lower priority being placed
on our lives. Losing $500,000 a day was more important
to our plant manager at that time than worker safety
and was made clearly evident in his safety talk on Thursday
October 17, 2001. And to add insult to injury, this
manager was promoted to Capital District Manager (Washington
DC Area). Many of our coworkers were suffering and were
written up (disciplined) for illnesses related to the
medicine and mental and physical trauma.
Where
is the justice?
There
is a lot more to this story than these few lines. We
ask that you support
Judicial Watch as they see our case to the end.
This case will and should set a precedent for safety,
accountability and responsibilty in the workplace.
We
are human beings first and need to put politics aside
and embrace the human spirit and watch good things unfold
before our eyes. No workplace is perfect, but we can
work together to make it as close to perfection as possible.
We now live in uncertain times. Wouldn't it be nice
if everyone could just do the right thing? Let's give
it a shot. I've already made my move, now I am waiting
on you.
If
you are an employee in a successful, happy and productive
work environment, then share with us some of the things
that make your situation a pleasant one. We are not
here to "bash" the Postal Service, we just
want a permanent policy change (mentality and method
of operation) in which dignity and respect are the order
of the day.
Brentwood
Exposed/Brentwood United appreciates
any help you provide. If you know of any resources that
may be of help to people/coworkers suffering or going
through a crisis, please send it to us. We want people
to know that someone cares. No one should be left alone.
If you have a friend or coworker in need, be there for
them or point them to someone or somewhere they can
get the help they need.
We
also want to hear positive stories about how ordinary
people in the workplace do extraordinary things and
make a difference in someone else's life.
In
addition, if you have links to resources and/or articles
of use to the working class of America, please feel
free to send them to me so I can review and post them
here on this website. The more we know, the better off
we will be and the more we can help each other.
Sincerely,
Joseph
