Exercise
YOUR right to vote!
You are doing yourself
a disservice if you don't VOTE!. Voting goes beyond the
voting booth. Communications with your elected officials and representatives
is key to getting issues resolved in your community and the world.
Failure to exercise this right is an acceptance of the way things
are and warrants no excuses from those that choose to do so. This
is America and people have the freedom to do what they want (as
long as it is legal and doesn't break any laws), but please REMEMBER
those people who fought, DIED and SACRIFICED their
lives so you CAN VOTE!
Write your elected
officials. Several links below and at right contain information
that helps you find your elected officials. I have also listed
several sites that show you hope to prepare and write a letter.
You can also find out how your elected official voted on issues
that are of importance to you. This will help you to get a clearer
picture of who you want to represent you after the November election.
It is time for accountability in Congress as well as in big business.
People have suffered too long and need to start seeing some relief
and their economies in the black for a change.
2008 will be just as
important as 2004 in terms of people and their vote. Major issues
loom as people face high gasoline prices and decreases in the
value of their homes. Healthcare costs continue to be a major
issue.
Spread the word. Encourage
your non-registered friends and family to register and become
an active participant in the political process. Visit your library
or Motor Vehicle Administration office to find out how you can
register to vote TODAY. Only together can we make this country
a better place.
